King Salman Extends Additional Support to Beneficiaries of Citizen Account Program

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed that the additional assistance granted to beneficiaries of the Citizen Account Program be extended for two more months, until September 2023, and that registration for the program be kept open.

The royal order is upon the recommendation of Prince Mohammed bin Salma n bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs.

The Citizen Account Program was created to protect Saudi households from the impact of global price hikes.

A royal directive was issued in July 2022 to allocate additional financial support to the beneficiaries of the Citizen Account Program until the end of the fiscal year 2022. Later, this period was extended and the registration for the program was kept open until July 2023 as per the royal directives issued in January and April 2023, SPA reported.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has met with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi in Riyadh to discuss preparations for a conference on the Palestinian cause.

The two officials discussed on Wednesday the relations between the two countries, ways to enhance cooperation across various fields, and the recent regional and international developments, focusing particularly on the Palestinian cause and the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip.

They highlighted the efforts of the Ministerial Committee assigned by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit to address developments in the Gaza Strip, and reviewed preparations for an upcoming conference, scheduled for June under the joint leadership of Saudi Arabia and France, which aims to address the Palestinian cause and advance the two-state solution.
