Paraguay’s President Receives Saudi Minister of Investment

President Mario Abdo Benítez of the Republic of Paraguay met on Thursday with the Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, who is visiting Paraguay.

During the meeting, Al-Falih conveyed greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Paraguayan president, government, and people.

The discussions focused on the Saudi-Paraguayan relations, exploring avenues for joint cooperation, and ways to enhance collaboration in investment and other areas.

Al-Falih also participated in a roundtable meeting with representatives from the private sectors of both countries. The meeting aimed to strengthen joint cooperation and foster economic ventures between Saudi Arabia and Paraguay.

Bilateral relations, areas of joint investment, and cooperation in various fields were reviewed during the meeting. The participants discussed ways to enhance these collaborations in light of the promising opportunities that currently exist.

Furthermore, Al-Falih held a meeting with Paraguayan Minister of Industry and Commerce, Luis Alberto Castiglioni, to discuss methods of enhancing investment and economic cooperation, as well as other matters of mutual concern.

Minister of Human Resources Meets with UN Women Executive Director

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Family Affairs Council Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi met with UN Women Executive Director Sima Sami Bahous and her accompanying delegation, SPA reported.
The meeting discussed areas of mutual interest, including preparations for Saudi Arabia’s presidency of this year’s 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).

It also reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance women’s status and the initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030 aimed at empowering women across various sectors.
Both sides emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthen cooperation with UN Women in implementing joint programs and projects to support women’s empowerment and economic participation.
