The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned on Friday the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli official amidst heavy Israeli security reinforcements.

In a statement by the General Secretariat, the MWL denounced these absurd practices that violate the sanctity of these places, which represent a dangerous violation of international laws and norms and provoke the feelings of Muslims worldwide.

It stressed the need for united efforts towards achieving a fair and comprehensive peace while ending any actions that hinder the chances of a solution in the occupied territories.

The MWL reiterated its unwavering support for all initiatives to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which it said was one of the most urgent concerns in the international and Islamic community.
