Saudi Arabia on Tuesday called for an urgent ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the escalation in Gaza.

For its part, the OIC's General Secretariat renewed its condemnation of the Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people.

It also affirmed that the continuation of the Israeli occupation and its non-compliance with international resolutions, along with the escalation of its daily attacks and crimes against the Palestinian people, their land, holy sites, and the deprivation of their legitimate rights, is the main cause of instability.
