Saudi Crown Prince Meets Presidents, PMs on Sidelines of GCC-ASEAN Summit

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held a series of meetings on Friday with leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries on the sidelines of the two organizations’ inaugural summit in Riyadh.

He held talks with Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, President of Timor-Leste Jose Ramos-Horta, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Thailand’s PM Srettha Thavisin, Cambodia’s PM Dr. Hun Sen and Laos’ PM Sonexay Siphandone.

The talks focused on bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the Asian countries and promising opportunities for their development.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed on Sunday the announcement of the formation of the Syrian government, hoping it will fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people.

The ministry said the Kingdom looks forward to cooperate and work with the new Syrian government in a manner that embodies the fraternal and historical relations between the two countries and strengthens relations in all fields.
The ministry also expressed its wishes for the new Syrian government's success in achieving security, stability, and prosperity in Syria.
