Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has received a telephone call from his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira.

The two sides discussed on Wednesday the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, as well as the evolving military escalation in the region. Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of an immediate ceasefire, securing humanitarian corridors for urgent relief aid, and halting the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

The call also included a review of the relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in all fields, in addition to discussing regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms possible, of the burning of a hospital in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces, and the forced evacuation of patients and medical staff.

The ministry said these acts constitute a violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the most fundamental humanitarian and ethical norms.
