Saudi Arabia's Relief Arm Signs Agreement to Operate Emergency Center in Yemen's Hajjah

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), signed an agreement on Tuesday with a civil society organization to operate the Emergency Center for Epidemic Diseases Control in Hiran District, Hajjah Governorate, Yemen.

The agreement was signed by Assistant Supervisor General of KSrelief for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, at the center's headquarters in Riyadh, SPA reported.
Under the project, the emergency center will be operated to provide diagnostic, treatment and isolation services for patients suffering from epidemic diseases, in addition to providing medicines, medical and preventive supplies, and intravenous and laboratory solutions.
The emergency center will also enhance efforts to combat epidemic diseases among displaced persons and host communities, as well as providing statistical data for the epidemiological monitoring system database and awareness and health education and implementing fogging campaigns, distributing mosquito nets, and disposing of medical waste, benefiting more than 63,000 people.
This comes as per the Kingdom's efforts, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to support the Yemeni people and the health sector during the humanitarian crisis they are going through.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated on Monday in the outreach session of the second G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Italy’s Fiuggi held with counterparts from several Arab countries, including Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, and the Secretary General of the Arab League.

During the session titled "Stability in the Middle East," Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of fostering multiple partnerships to address regional and international challenges.

In his statement, he highlighted the developments in Gaza and Lebanon, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities by urgently pushing for an immediate ceasefire, ensuring the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid, and advancing efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state through the two-state solution.

He underlined the need to de-escalate tensions in Lebanon while respecting its sovereignty. Prince Faisal also stressed the urgency for finding a permanent solution to the crisis in Sudan to alleviate human suffering.

The session was attended by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Italy Faisal bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
