Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received in Riyadh on Wednesday his Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili.

The officials discussed ways to strengthen and expand mutual cooperation across different areas.

They also tackled regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Prince Faisal and Darchiashvili signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the Saudi-Georgian Coordination Council that aims to expand collaboration between the two countries in order to achieve the aspirations of the two leaderships and peoples of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the Saudi ministry’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs Ambassador, Dr. Saud Al-Sati, Saudi Ambassador to Georgia Salman Al Al-Sheikh, and Director General of the General Administration of the Secretariats of the Councils and Committees Eng. Fahd Al-Harthy.

Saudi Arabia Condemns Attack on Presidential Palace in Chad

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said the Kingdom condemns the attack targeting the presidential palace in N'Djamena, Chad, which resulted in the death of a soldier and the injury of others.

The ministry reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's firm stance supporting the security and stability of Chad.

The ministry also expressed the Kingdom's sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and to the government and people of Chad, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured.
