Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya co-chaired on Monday the second meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council in Kuwait.

Prince Faisal stressed that the council reflects the interest paid by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al-Sabah in pushing relations to wider horizons to achieve the aspirations of their countries.

He emphasized the importance of the council and its committees as an effective platform and institutional tool that frames the work of the two countries.

A joint cooperation program was signed between the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the Sheikh Soud Nasser Al-Sabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute.

Additionally, two memorandums of understanding between the two governments were signed: the first on the mutual recognition of seafarers' certificates and the second in the field of technical cooperation for the protection and preservation of the environment.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said on Thursday the crisis in the Middle East is a "collective genocide," and that establishing a Palestinian State is the only way to ensure peace in the region.
"It has become crystal clear that what is happening is genocide", he said during the Asia Cooperation Dialogue summit in Doha.
The Emir emphasized that there can be no peace in the region without the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The Qatari Emir also condemned Israeli air strikes and military operations "against the brotherly Lebanese Republic".
Israel launched an assault a year ago on the Gaza Strip after Hamas militants attacked southern Israeli towns.
This week, Israel launched a ground incursion in Lebanon against Hezbollah, which has been firing into Israel in what it says is solidarity with the Palestinians.
