Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya co-chaired on Monday the second meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council in Kuwait.
Prince Faisal stressed that the council reflects the interest paid by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al-Sabah in pushing relations to wider horizons to achieve the aspirations of their countries.
He emphasized the importance of the council and its committees as an effective platform and institutional tool that frames the work of the two countries.
A joint cooperation program was signed between the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the Sheikh Soud Nasser Al-Sabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute.
Additionally, two memorandums of understanding between the two governments were signed: the first on the mutual recognition of seafarers' certificates and the second in the field of technical cooperation for the protection and preservation of the environment.
