Saudi Arabia Condemns Vehicle-Ramming Attack in New Orleans, US

Saudi Arabia on Wednesday condemned the vehicle-ramming attack on a crowd celebrating New Year's Day in New Orleans' French Quarter resulting in fatalities and injuries.
"Saudi Arabia affirms its complete rejection and denouncement of all forms of violence," the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
"The Kingdom extends its solidarity and heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, as well as to the United States, both government and people while wishing a swift recovery to the injured”, added the statement.
A driver crashed his pickup truck into a crowd celebrating New Year's Day in New Orleans' French Quarter and opened fire, killing 10 people and injuring more than 35, in an early morning attack the FBI said was a potential act of terrorism.
The suspect died after a shootout with police, law enforcement officials said.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Sunday with the US Envoy to Lebanon Amos Hochstein at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, they discussed key regional issues, with a particular focus on the evolving situation in Lebanon and the ongoing efforts to address these developments, the Saudi Press Agency said on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on Lebanese Affairs, Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al Farhan.
