Saudi Arabia on Wednesday condemned the vehicle-ramming attack on a crowd celebrating New Year's Day in New Orleans' French Quarter resulting in fatalities and injuries.
"Saudi Arabia affirms its complete rejection and denouncement of all forms of violence," the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
"The Kingdom extends its solidarity and heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, as well as to the United States, both government and people while wishing a swift recovery to the injured”, added the statement.
A driver crashed his pickup truck into a crowd celebrating New Year's Day in New Orleans' French Quarter and opened fire, killing 10 people and injuring more than 35, in an early morning attack the FBI said was a potential act of terrorism.
The suspect died after a shootout with police, law enforcement officials said.
