The Saudi Cabinet has welcomed the talks held between the United States and Ukraine, hosted by the Kingdom as part of its efforts to resolve the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

The Cabinet, which was chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Jeddah on Tuesday, discussed the outcomes of the talks between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Kingdom stressed its commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in Ukraine and achieving lasting peace. Moreover, both countries commended the strength of their economic ties and welcomed the re-establishment of the Joint Business Council in 2025.

The Cabinet also welcomed the commencement of talks between the US and Ukraine, saying this initiative reflects the Kingdom’s balanced relations with various stakeholders, its leading role in promoting global security and peace, and its commitment to dialogue as the most effective means of conflict resolution.

The Cabinet commended the statement issued by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meeting recently held in Jeddah, and emphasized the Kingdom’s complete rejection of calls to displace the Palestinian people from their land. It affirmed the Kingdom’s continued work with friendly countries to advance the implementation of the two-state solution.

It also lauded measures taken by the Syrian leadership to preserve civil peace in the country and complete the process of building state institutions to achieve security and stability. It reiterated the Kingdom’s full support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Syria.

The Cabinet also discussed the positive growth rates achieved by economic activities in 2024, reflecting the success of Saudi Vision 2030 programs and the progress made in major projects and national strategies.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Wednesday.

They exchanged cordial talks during their meeting.

Clinton was a keynote speaker at the fifth edition of the Real Estate Future Forum that was held in Riyadh from January 26 to 28.

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks in Riyadh on Tuesday with his Kuwaiti counterpart Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.

The ministers discussed relations between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and explored ways to strengthen and develop bilateral defense cooperation.

They also tackled regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Ayyaf, Chief of General Staff General Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili, and Advisor to the Minister of Defense for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Saif.

Representing Kuwait were Al-Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah, Mubarak Al Kabeer Governor and Hawalli acting Governor Sheikh Sabah Bader Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and several other officials.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, stressed on Tuesday that Riyadh respects Tehran's sovereignty and that the Kingdom will not allow its airspace or territories to be used in any military operation against Iran.

In a telephone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, he underlined Saudi Arabia's support for any efforts that would help resolve disputes through dialogue with the aim to bolster regional security and stability.

Pezeshkian said his talks with the Crown Prince tackled developments in Iran and discussions about its nuclear file.

He expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia's firm stance in respecting Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He also hailed Crown Prince Mohammed's role and efforts in achieving security and stability in the region.
