Riyadh Municipality Introduces Investment Opportunities for Private Sector

The Riyadh Municipality has introduced a range of investment opportunities for 2025 through the electronic platform "FURAS," which serves as the primary source for all investors interested in real estate and municipal investments, aiming to create a conducive environment for investment and enhance economic and urban development in the city.

The opportunities encompass over 20 investment sites featuring a range of activities, with areas totaling more than 175,000 square meters. They include commercial ventures, multi-activity residential and commercial spaces, mobile sports clubs, sites designated for the construction of concrete and building materials factories, as well as a café and an ATM.

This step serves as an extension of the Riyadh Municipality's strategy aimed at strengthening the private sector's involvement in urban development.

It facilitates active participation in the development of facilities and services, fostering integration between government initiatives and investment efforts to address societal needs.

Additionally, it contributes to improving the quality of urban life and advancing the objectives of Vision 2030.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi stressed that the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli minister and several extremist settlers constitutes a blatant violation of Islamic sanctities and reflects the occupation forces’ intent to continue destabilizing security and stability in the Palestinian territories, SPA reported.
Albudaiwi pointed out that these repeated incursions by settlers and Israeli officials into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque represent a serious breach of international law and the existing historical and legal status quo of Jerusalem and its sanctities.
He highlighted that this act is a clear and blatant violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, a provocation to the sentiments of Muslims, and an escalation that exacerbates tensions in the region, pushing the situation into a continuous cycle of violence.
