Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities' announcement regarding the establishment of an agency aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, as well as the approval to separate 13 illegal settlement neighborhoods in the occupied West Bank in preparation for their eventual legalization as colonial settlements.
Albudaiwi emphasized that this announcement constitutes a flagrant violation of international charters, treaties, and agreements, occurring under the watchful eyes of the international community. He further warned that these actions pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed the GCC's unwavering and full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle against these inhumane and illegal actions by Israeli occupation forces. He stressed the urgent need for a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue—one that ensures security and stability in the region and adheres to international legitimacy. This includes full commitment to a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, which would guarantee the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
