Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held talks with British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Lammy at the headquarters of the Kingdom’s permanent mission to the United Nations in New York on Tuesday.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.

Prince Faisal welcomed Britain’s announcement of its intention to recognize the State of Palestine and its support for the two-state solution. The foreign ministers reviewed all efforts aimed at easing humanitarian suffering in Gaza Strip.

Attending the meeting were Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud, Advisor to the Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Development Affairs Abdullah bin Zarah, Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Manal Radwan, and Advisor to Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Alyahya.

Also on the sidelines of the conference, Prince Faisal held talks with Portuguese Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Paulo Rangel.

They discussed bilateral relations and ways to boost them across various fields. They addressed developments in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli-occupied West Bank, as well as international efforts to end the war and alleviate the humanitarian suffering in Gaza.

Prince Faisal also met with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.

The foreign ministers discussed Saudi-Iraqi relations and recent developments in the region and efforts being made to address them.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Safadi.

They discussed developments in the region and efforts made in this regard, SPA reported.

The Saudi FM also received a phone call from Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hakan Fidan.

During the call, they exchanged views on the latest regional developments.

Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar met with Somalia's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ali Abdi Awari at the delegation’s headquarters in Cairo.

The meeting focused on reaffirming Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, emphasizing the importance of preserving its stability and rejecting any attempts to impose parallel entities that undermine national unity, SPA reported.

The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest within the framework of the Arab League.

The Saudi leadership extended condolences on Sunday to King of Thailand over the victims of a crane accident that fell onto a train in northeastern Thailand killing tens and injuring several.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques sent a cable to King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn, offering his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the deceased, and the Thai people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, sent a similar cable to the Thai king.

He extended his deepest condolences to the king, the families of the deceased, and the Thai people.
