Saudi Arabia reiterated on Monday its “categorical condemnation of the reprehensible” Iranian attacks against the Kingdom, Gulf Cooperation Council and several Arab, Islamic and friendly countries.
A Foreign Ministry statement said the attacks “cannot be accepted or justified in any way.”
It stressed that the Kingdom reserves its “full right to take the necessary measures to protect its security, sovereignty and safety of its citizens and residents, and repel the aggression.”
“Attacks on civilian facilities, airports and oil installations are only evidence of an insistence on threatening security and stability and are a flagrant violation of international agreements and international law,” it added.
On Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s remarks on Saturday that his country has no intention to harm neighboring countries, the statement said: “The Kingdom can confirm that the Iranians have not applied this on the ground, before or after the president’s speech.”
“The attacks have continued on baseless grounds,” it asserted.
It warned that the continued Iranian attacks will lead to more escalation, “which will have a deep impact on current and future relations.”
“Iran’s actions towards our countries have no reasoning and it will be the biggest loser in any escalation,” it noted.
