Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received on Sunday US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson at the al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The two officials discussed bilateral relations, cooperation between Washington and Riyadh and the latest developments in the region.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir.
On the American side, the meeting was attended by Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State Margaret J.A. Peterlin, Charge d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia Christopher Henzel, and a number of officials.
