A reliable source asserted to Asharq Al-Awsat that Saudi Arabia will continue with its support to the Yemeni government until legality is recovered, confirming that the political solution is the best one.

The kingdom stresses that all efforts must be directed to support the UN, represented by the special envoy.

The source added that Saudi Arabia will continue to defend its border - no matter how much the cost will be, to secure its citizens and to protect its cities from ballistic missiles.

The kingdom won't allow the establishment of terrorist militias such as “Hezbollah” on its southern border, and it will foil the Yemeni project of Hezbollah, the source added.

The source also noted that Riyadh is also concerned with the humanitarian aspect of Yemenis and thusit spent more than USD8 billion until now on aid programs through King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Centre and executives of the UN and non-governmental organizations.

Foreign ministers and chiefs of staff in the coalition to support legality in Yemen discussed during their meeting in Riyadh on Sunday reinforcements of integration and coordination in all humanitarian, military and political affairs of the coalition to ensure that the stated goals are attained.

The meeting is also anticipated to discuss requirements of the next phase of the coalition and efforts of various participating parties.

Saudi Arabia led the coalition as a response to a formal request by the Legit Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. The coalition gained the support of the Security Council through the issued resolution 2216.
