Member of Saudi Emergency Force Killed in Qatif

A member of the Saudi Emergency Force was killed in the eastern al-Qatif region, announced the Interior Ministry on Monday.

It said that First Lieutenant Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah al-Kathiri was killed from a gunshot wound while performing his duties on Sunday.

The wound was caused by a misfiring shot and he was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

An investigation has been opened in the incident.

The Interior Ministry announced last week that soldier Abdullah al-Qahtahi was killed during a terrorist attack while he was carrying out his duties in the al-Bahari neighborhood in al-Qatif.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a cable of congratulations to the President of Tunisia, Kais Saied, on his country's Republic Day.
King Salman wished President Saied continued good health and happiness and the government and people of Tunisia steady progress and prosperity.
For his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also sent a cable of congratulations to President Saied wishing him continued good health and happiness and the government and people of Tunisia steady progress and prosperity.
