World Food Programme Regional Director Muhannad Hadi confirmed that the program's relation with Saudi Arabia goes way back and is a source of pride, adding that he looks forward for enhancing and developing this relation to include all 80 countries in the program.
During a press conference, Hadi stated that he met with Consultant at the Royal Court and Supervisor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works (KSRelief) Abdullah bin Abdullah al-Rabia'ah and discussed several of WFP's projects in and outside the region. In addition, the two reviewed the joint programs related to food security and means to overcome difficulties facing humanitarian action.
Hadi pointed out that the program has been working with KSRelief in Yemen for years and things are going very well, adding that he looks forward to enhancing the partnership between the two sides.
During the meeting, Rabee'a briefed Hadi on the relief and humanitarian aid the Kingdom provided for disaster areas, through the center, and all over the world.
