Kuwaiti Defense Minister Visits his Country’s ‘Restoration of Hope’ Troops

Kuwait’s First Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday to inspect Kuwaiti troops stationed there as part of Restoration of Hope Operation.

Sheikh Nasser was accompanied by a high-level delegation, state-run KUNA news agency cited the Kuwaiti Defense Ministry.

The Kuwaiti soldiers operate as part of the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia to restore legitimacy in Yemen, it said.

Sheikh Nasser’s trip to the Kingdom was his second in a week.

Last Thursday, the defense minister visited Riyadh where he met with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Friday a cable of congratulations to Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the anniversary of his country's Victory Day.

He wished the President constant health and happiness and steady progress and prosperity for the Turkish government and people.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Erdogan a similar cable on the occasion.
