Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri has met with the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, in the presence of his adviser for Russian affairs Georges Chaaban.
"We discussed ways to develop bilateral relations in all areas this year, in light of the recent visit of Prime Minister Hariri to Moscow,” the diplomat said on Monday following the meeting at the Grand Serail.
“We discussed the meeting of the Joint Governmental Commission for Economic and Cultural Cooperation, scheduled in Beirut in the spring, and discussed cooperation in the military technical field,” he told reporters.
“As previously announced, we have provided $500,000 to help immunize Lebanese and Syrian children through UNICEF, and there are broad areas of cooperation,” Zasypkin added.
