Head of the Ghad party in Egypt, Moussa Mustafa Moussa, submitted on Monday his candidacy for the presidential elections, set for March.
“We are entering a fair and honorable competition in order to win,” said Moussa.
He submitted his papers on the deadline day for registering for the elections.
He becomes the second candidate to run against President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, who is seeking reelection for a second term.
The Ghad party had endorsed Sisi and even organized events to help nominate him as recently as last week.
