Saudi Ambassador to the United States Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has stressed Riyadh’s pride in its strong relations with the United Arab Emirates.
“KSA is proud of its strong and historical relationship with our brothers in the UAE. Our partnership has reached new heights and is only growing stronger, as we are bound together by common destiny,” the diplomat said on his Twitter account.
His tweet came as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday where he held talks with Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Abu Dhabi is the first leg of an Arab tour that will also take the Saudi Crown Prince to Bahrain and Egypt.
The Saudi Royal Diwan had earlier said that the Crown Prince had embarked on his Arab tour at the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and Chairman of the National Media Council (NMC), emphasized on Friday that the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to the UAE signals a new era of continuous integration and consultations between the two fraternal countries.
Emirates News Agency quoted Al Jaber as saying that the UAE-Saudi relations are “strong and strategic” in various fields and ties have been given special attention and care by the leaderships of both countries.
He termed the trip of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Abu Dhabi as a visit to his family and brothers and reflects the strong bonds and joint work between the two countries in the light of the growing fraternal relations between them.
He added that Emirati-Saudi ties were witnessing a state of harmony in visions and stances to form a role model in the joint Arab action.
