New Saudi Ambassadors Sworn in before King Salman

Saudi ambassadors to countries throughout the world swore the oath on Monday before Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Among them was Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, the Kingdom’s new ambassador to the United States.

Envoys to each of Austria, Cameroon and Cyprus were also sworn in during a ceremony at the al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi extended his congratulations to Joseph Aoun on his election as Lebanon's president.
Albudaiwi extended his heartfelt wishes for Aoun’s success in meeting the aspirations of the Lebanese people, particularly in achieving stability, prosperity, and development. He also emphasized the GCC's commitment to further strengthening the longstanding and historic relations between the Council and Lebanon.
Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC's unwavering stance, as outlined in the final statement of the 46th Extraordinary Meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, in support of the Lebanese people.
He emphasized the Council's continued commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and stability, along with its steadfast support for the Lebanese Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s borders.

Albudaiwi also highlighted the critical importance of fully implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which aims to restore lasting security and stability in Lebanon and ensure respect for its territorial integrity.
He reiterated the importance of the Lebanese government exercising full control over all Lebanese territories, in line with the relevant Security Council resolutions and the provisions of the Taif Agreement.
