Saudi Cabinet Urges Decisive Stance Against Iran
The Saudi cabinet has urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities by taking a decisive stand against the Iranian regime to stop and prevent it from spreading chaos in the world.
The cabinet session in Jeddah, which was chaired by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, reviewed a number of reports on developments in the region.
“Iran and its proxies should stop their reckless behavior,” a statement from Saudi Minister of Media Turki al-Shabanah published by the Saudi Press Agency read.
The peoples of the region, including Iran, have the right to live in security and stability, the cabinet said.
The Kingdom “will do everything in its power to prevent war,” it said.
The statement also said the cabinet affirmed that King Salman’s call to the leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and Arab countries to hold emergency summits in Makkah on May 30 “reflects his keenness to consult and coordinate with the brotherly countries regarding enhancing security and stability in the region,” mainly over actions taken by the Iranian regime and its proxies in the region.
Their behavior has had “grave repercussions on regional and international peace and security as well as the supply and stability of oil markets in the world,” it added.
