Governor of the Madinah region Prince Faisal bin Salman said Sunday that the Makkah Route Initiative was positive and is being expanded gradually.
The success of the initiative can be assessed through the pilgrims’ impressions and feedback, he added during a tour of the complex of the Hajj and Umrah terminal and the hall of Makkah Route at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
The tour covered relevant government bodies that complete the arrival procedures for the pilgrims and provide other services.
All human and material means provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for the pilgrims stem from its religious duty and honor to serve its visitors, he stressed.
The governor warmly received a batch of pilgrims from Indonesia, urging relevant agencies to provide the best services to worshippers to guarantee that they perform their rituals easily.
Prince Faisal was accompanied on his tour by Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohammed Saleh Benten, Head of General Authority for Civil Aviation Abdulhadi al-Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umra Mohammed al-Begawi, Director of passports at the Madinah Airport Bader al-Mutairi and Director General of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Sami Issawi.
