The 152nd Session of the Council of Arab League opened Sunday in Cairo, Egypt, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The two-day meeting will discuss the Arab-Israeli conflict and follow-up on political developments in the Arab region including maintenance of the Arab national security and the fight against terrorism.
This is taking place under the chairmanship of the Ambassador Ahmad Nayef Al-Dulaimi, permanent representative of Iraq to the Arab League, and in the presence of the Assistant Secretary General responsible of the League's Council, Ambassador Hossam Zaki.
The Saudi delegation to the meeting was headed by Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Osama bin Ahmed Naqli.
The meeting will also discuss Iranian interventions in the internal affairs of Arab countries, security of navigation and energy supplies in the Arab Gulf region and other top issues.
