Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued Wednesday a royal order relieving Dr. Ibrahim al-Assaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of his duties, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
He appointed Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah bin Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud as his replacement.
Assaf has been named Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet.
Another decree relieved Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al Amoudi, Minister of Transport, of his post. Saleh bin Nasser bin Ali Al-Jasser was named the new Minister of Transport.
Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf bin Jumaan Al-Ghamdi was also appointed Chairman of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence at the rank of minister.
Saleh bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Othaim was named Vice President of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Esaam bin Abdullah bin Khalaf Al-Weqait as Director of the National Information Center and Dr. Tareq bin Abdullah Al-Enazi as Chairman of the National Data Management Office.
