Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced the participation of 300 world-renowned personalities from 30 countries in the third edition of Davos in the Desert, an annual investment forum held in Riyadh.
This year, 39% of the representatives are from North America, 20% of the attendees come from Europe, and 19% of speakers are from Asia. The proportion of countries in the Middle East region is about 15%, noting that more than 6,000 specialists and experts will be participating at the event’s seminars and workshops.
The event was created to encourage dialogue and enhance collaboration among stakeholders on some of the key issues facing the world today, including sustainability, technology and the future of societies.
The initiative is committed to providing an appropriate platform that facilitates creative communication between entrepreneurs, decision makers, investors, innovators and world leaders.
In its third edition, the forum focuses on three main topics. “Sustainable Future” aims to explore new models of innovation and investment that contribute to enhancing financial returns and support sustainability in aspects of life.
“Technology for the benefit of all” will work to propose regulatory and commercial policies to guide future growth in the technology sector. “Advanced society” is about establishing systems and adopting a culture that encourages best human practices in the age of technology.
Apart from its main program, Davos in the Desert will host three summits that address the impact of commercial, entertainment and community changes on driving innovation and creating investment opportunities.
It is worth mentioning that the initiative hosts 12 workshops operating in various sectors.
