Bahrain King, OIC Congratulate King Salman on 5th Anniversary of Accession to Power

Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated in a cable on Friday Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz on the fifth anniversary of his ascension to the throne, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa sent King Salman similar cables.

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen congratulated on Saturday King Salman on the fifth anniversary of his ascension to the throne.

He said the Kingdom was “firmly moving forward towards openness to the world and in communicating with other cultures.”

“It is demonstrating the true image of moderate Islam,” he stressed, while citing Saudi Arabia’s “countless” achievements in the past five years.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s diversification of its sources of income, empowerment of women and the youth and hosting of next year’s G20 summit.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita co-chaired the 14th session of the Saudi-Moroccan Joint Committee on Wednesday.

The event was attended by senior officials from ministries, government agencies, and private sector institutions from both sides.
The convening of the meeting reaffirms the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Morocco and aims to boost cooperation in all areas of common interest, SPA reported.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the distinguished level of relations between the two countries and praised the efforts of the entities involved in the committee’s work to meet the aspirations of both leaderships. They also emphasized their commitment to strengthening cooperation across various fields to further elevate their strong relations.
The two sides signed a joint customs cooperation agreement for mutual recognition of the Authorized Economic Operator program and a memorandum of understanding in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development.
They also signed the minutes of the session.
