The Director-General of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Osman, said that security forces would continue to fulfill their duty to maintain security, warning that violence generates violence and any reaction has a counter-reaction.
“No one has any interest in taking the street into an unbearable cycle of violence,” he said in a statement to the ISF Al-Amn (security) magazine.
He stressed that he would not tolerate any moral attack against the security forces.
On Tuesday, a man stormed into the internal security forces station south of Beirut, and killed a captain and two soldiers, then shot himself.
Reports stated that Hassan Al-Hussein stormed into the ISF station in Al Ouzai with his mother to free his brother.
