Saudi Arabia, Mauritania Ink Four Agreements, MoUs

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received in Riyadh on Wednesday President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.

They held talks on bilateral relations and ways to bolster them in various fields, especially in economy and business. They also tackled the latest regional developments.

An official reception ceremony was held for the President, where the two countries' national anthems were played. Also, a luncheon was held in honor of Ghazouani and his accompanying delegation.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, later received the president of Mauritania for talks on bilateral cooperation and development and economic affairs.

The official meetings were concluded by signing four agreements and memoranda of understandings between the two governments.

This included an agreement of executive program for cultural cooperation, which was signed between Mauritania's Ministry of Culture, Handicrafts and Relations with the Parliament, and the Saudi Ministry of Culture.

Also an MoU in the field of civil service between the two governments was signed, in addition to another agreement of executive program for cooperation in the field of vocational and technical training.

Meanwhile, King Abdulaziz Foundation inked an MoU with Mauritania's General Directorate of National Documents at the General Secretariat.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of the State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan; Minister of State for African Countries Affairs Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan; Saudi Ambassador to Mauritania Dr. Hazza bin Zain Al-Mutairi; and the Mauritanian President's accompanying delegation.
