King Salman Says Eid Prayers at Masjid al-Haram Will Be Held without Worshippers

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz approved on Saturday holding the Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah without any worshippers.

General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais said the decision reflects King Salman’s keenness on respecting this holy rite amid the coronavirus pandemic that has swept the world.

He wished everyone a blessed Eid, hoping that the pandemic will be over.

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has met with Yemen’s Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik in Riyadh.
At the outset of the meeting, Prince Khalid conveyed greetings and congratulations from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Yemeni prime minister on his appointment, and their wishes for security, stability and prosperity for the Yemeni people.
The prime minister sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.
The two officials reviewed fraternal ties between their nations, discussed ways to strengthen relations, and addressed recent developments in Yemen and the region.
Prince Khalid affirmed the Kingdom’s continued support for the Yemeni government in meeting the economic and development aspirations of the Yemeni people.
