Khalid bin Salman: Riyadh, Washington Working on Achieving Regional, World Peace
Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman stressed on Monday that the Kingdom was working with the United States to achieve peace and security in the region and world.
He received in Riyadh on Monday US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook for talks on bilateral relations and regional developments.
They stressed the importance of preserving peace and security in the region and confronting hostile destabilizing acts.
Prince Khalid underlined Saudi Arabia’s support for American efforts to halt Iran’s malicious activities, violations and terrorist acts in the region.
The two officials tackled the latest ballistic missile and drone attack by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against Saudi Arabia. The attack was thwarted by Saudi air defenses.
Prince Khalid conveyed to Hook the Saudi leadership’s gratitude to the United States for dispatching troops and defense systems to the Kingdom in order to preserve regional security and confront anything that jeopardizes their common interests.
