Yemen Marks 3 Years Since Saudi Oil Derivatives Gift
Yemen’s Mahra region marked on Sunday the third anniversary of Saudi Arabia’s oil derivatives donation.
The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) managed through this generous gift to inaugurate a power plant in Mahra, which has been in operation for two years.
On Sunday, activists in the province received a new delivery of oil derivatives, 4,800 tons of diesel fuel, which will be dedicated for the month of July.
The shipment was received by Mahra Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser, Director of the SDRPY Dr. Abdullah Basuleiman and other officials.
Yasser underlined the importance of the oil derivatives shipment in operating the local power plant, hospitals and other facilities. He announced that the SDRPY is about to construct a 40-megawatt power station, inaugurate road paving projects and build a King Salman Medical City.
Basuleiman said the delivery reflected Saudi Arabia’s generosity towards its Yemeni brothers, under the guidance of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
