The Saudi Film Commission has joined the International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA), a global network of more than 200 members dedicated to preserving audiovisual heritage.
The membership supports the commission’s efforts to develop Saudi Arabia’s film archiving sector while promoting Saudi and Arab cinematic heritage worldwide. It also facilitates knowledge transfer to local talent and fosters the exchange of expertise and archival collections with other FIAT/IFTA members, enriching the cinematic landscape both locally and internationally.
This step is part of the Commission’s broader vision to establish the Kingdom as a global hub for the film industry, strengthen the national economy, and elevate the Saudi film sector to international standards.
