The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has stressed that addressing the challenges that the youth are facing, and protecting their jobs, especially in light of the coronavirus pandemic, remains at the forefront of the G20's priorities.

On behalf of King Salman, Minister of Education Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh received on Saturday a copy of the final communique of the Youth (Y20) Summit, which was held virtually on October 15-17.

The minister delivered the King’s speech, in which he affirmed the G20 Saudi Presidency's keenness to hear the recommendations of Y20.

He pointed out to the exceptional attention being paid by the G20 leaders to discuss policies on youth, their education and their work as they are the true energy of the future.

He also revealed that addressing the challenges facing them and protecting their jobs, especially in light of the current circumstances, remains at the forefront of the G20's priorities and at the top of its concerns.

The United Arab Emirates’ General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced on Monday the resumption of flights between the UAE and Syria.

In a statement, the GCAA said that joint coordination is currently underway to complete the necessary procedures for restarting flights in a manner that boosts air traffic and supports passenger and cargo movement between them.

The announcement was made shortly after a visit by Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa to the UAE last week where he met with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for talk on a number of issues of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
