The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, has welcomed the announcement of a permanent ceasefire agreement across Libya after negotiations held at the UN in Geneva.

Al-Hajraf expressed hope that the deal would lead to a comprehensive political solution, which would bring security and stability to the Libyan people.

The accord was concluded on Friday after talks between military representatives of Fayez al-Sarraj's Government of National Accord (GNA) and the Libyan National Army (LNA) of Khalifa Haftar.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, received a phone call on Wednesday from President of South Korea Lee Jae-myung, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The two officials praised during their talks the historical relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.

They also discussed bilateral relations and prospects for developing them, in addition to the opportunities for cooperation in a number of fields to achieve common interests and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
