The air forces of Israel and the United Arab Emirates will take part in a joint military drill in Greece, revealed military sources in Tel Aviv.

Israel’s Maariv daily said the drill is part of an international military exercise.

This marks the first time that the UAE openly announces its participation with Israel in a military exercise.

The daily said that the UAE had previously joined Israel in drills, but this is the first time it agrees for the information to be reported.

The exercise in Greece will also include air forces from the United States, Canada, Slovakia, Spain and Cyprus.
