Saudi Air Force Group Arrives in Greece for Military Drill

The aircraft of the Royal Saudi Air Force taking part in the Eagle Eye 1 drill arrived in Greece on Saturday, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

The maneuvers are being held at the Souda Airbase on the island of Crete.

The Saudi and Greek air forces will carry out air sorties and joint exercises over the Mediterranean Sea.

The Air Force group was received by Saudi Ambassador in the Greek capital Dr. Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Ammar, Commander of the Air Force group taking part in the drill Col. Pilot Abdulrahman bin Saeed Al-Shihri and Military Liaison Officer at the Saudi Embassy in Athens Lt. Col. Rashid bin Abdulaziz Al-Oubudi.

The drill aims to boost the skills of the air and technical crews, raise the combat readiness of the Saudi air force and exchange military expertise.

Saudi, Brazilian Foreign Ministers Sign MoU to Establish Coordination Council

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has met with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira in Rio de Janeiro on the sidelines of the G20 Summit.

The two officials reviewed relations and discussed regional and international developments.

During Tuesday’s meeting, the ministers signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a Saudi-Brazilian Coordination Council, building on the agreement reached between the two countries' leaders during Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's visit to Saudi Arabia on November 30, 2023.

Director-General of the Office of the Foreign Minister Abdulrahman Aldawood and Saudi Ambassador to Brazil Dr. Faisal bin Ibrahim Ghulam were in attendance.
