GCC Urges Morocco, Algeria to Hold Dialogue to Resolve Differences

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf expressed on Friday his regret at the deterioration of relations between Morocco and Algeria.

He hoped that the neighbors would restore ties, calling on them to resort to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve their differences in the hopes of opening a new chapter in relations.

Such relations should meet the aspirations of their people, achieve security and stability and bolster joint Arab work.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone call with Irish Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Minister for Defense Simon Harris, the Saudi Press Agency reported Thursday.

During the call, they reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed regional developments and their repercussions on the region, SPA said.
