The governor of the interim Yemeni capital Aden is safe after his convoy was targeted by a car bomb, an official at his office confirmed to Asharq Al-Awsat.
The bomb targeted his convoy as it was passing through the al-Tawahi district in Aden.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said Ahmed Hamed Lamlas and his companions are safe.
No one was harmed, he stressed.
He said two soldiers were killed in the blast, while Yemeni security sources told Al Arabiya television that at least four people were killed.
