Al-Ahmadi noted that the Council’s participation at the forum “enhances presenting the ideal image of Saudi women and what they have achieved.”
The forum’s opening session was chaired by Russia’s Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko. Several parliament speakers, senior officials, and leaders also participated.
Matviyenko, at the beginning of the session, welcomed those attending the forum and hailed the “big role filled by hero health workers around the world and their success in facing the coronavirus pandemic.”
Also, she noted that the forum deals with five main topics that include women’s role in forming a new peace and confidence agenda, achieving social transformation, and building a healthy society.
More so, the forum will discuss women’s role in industrial and digitization efforts as well as building economic technology.
On its first day, the forum features programs and panel discussions focused on a number of topics in which women can be supported globally.
