Saudi Leadership Condoles Brazil over Flood Victims

The Saudi leadership offered on Wednesday its condolences to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on the victims of the floods and landslides that struck Pernambuco State.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, sent separate cables of condolences to Bolsonaro.

They expressed their condolences to the president, families of the victims and people of Brazil.

At least 100 people have died from floods caused by heavy rains in Pernambuco State.

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met on Monday with French Ambassador to the Kingdom Ludovic Pouille.

During the meeting in Riyadh, they reviewed relations between the two friendly countries and several issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Khaled bin Hussein Al-Biyari, and Office of the Minister of Defense Director General Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.
