Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Wednesday with the king of Malaysia, Sultan Abdullah bin Sultan Ahmad Shah, and Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaqoub in Kuala Lumpur.

The two separate meetings touched on regional and international developments and means to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The Saudi foreign minister also held a working meeting with his Malaysian counterpart, Saifuddin Abdullah. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and prospects for joint cooperation in various fields.

Later on Wednesday, Prince Faisal reviewed with the Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry, Muhammad Azmin Ali, relations of trade, industrial cooperation and investment, emphasizing the depth of bilateral ties between Riyadh and Kuala Lumpur and the importance of further developing cooperation in various fields.

The meetings were attended by Mahmoud Kattan, Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia, and Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud, Director General of the Foreign Minister’s Office.

Prince Faisal, who concluded on Tuesday an official visit to Indonesia, is currently on a tour to a number of countries in East Asia.

The Saudi foreign minister held a phone conversation on Tuesday with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, during which the two officials reviewed cooperation between the Kingdom and the United Nations, in addition to regional and international developments.

Saudi Chief of Staff Chairs Saudi-Turkish Military Committee Meeting

The Saudi-Turkish Joint Military Committee held its sixth meeting in the Turkish capital, Ankara, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.

The meeting was chaired by Saudi Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili and Turkish Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak.

The officials discussed ways to boost cooperation and coordination between their countries in the defense and military sectors, as well as several other issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officers from the Saudi and Turkish armed forces.

Al-Ruwaili also held a meeting with Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler for talks on bilateral relations and areas of defense cooperation.
