King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed a cooperation program with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York, the Saudi Press Agency reported Saturday.

The Center was represented by the Advisor at the Royal Court, the Supervisor General of the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, and from the UNDP, the Director of the Program, Achim Steiner, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly on Friday, SPA said.

The program aims to exchange information, enhance the sharing of expertise and knowledge between the two sides, build capacities, research, and initiatives in the areas of sustainable livelihoods, peace-building efforts, crisis prevention, and recovery, achieving post-crisis stability, and linking development efforts, humanitarian work and peace, SPA said.

Rabeeah stressed that this program comes within the framework of the Kingdom's keenness to harness its capabilities to serve humanitarian issues, as well as to cooperate with the UN and its agencies, and the international community, in a way that contributes to promoting global humanitarian and relief efforts, the news agency added.

The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) honored on Thursday Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz with its Medal of the Highest Order in recognition of Saudi Arabia's contributions and support to Interpol’s efforts in combating crime.

The minister received the medal from Interpol’s President Major General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi at the organization’s Lyon headquarters.

Visiting the headquarters, Prince Abdulaziz underlined Saudi Arabia’s continued support for the organization and its efforts to boost international cooperation in combating transnational crime.

He stressed that his visit was conducted under the guidance of the Kingdom’s leadership as part of its commitment to advancing international security collaboration.

He praised Interpol’s role in supporting global security efforts and strengthening cooperation among security agencies worldwide, contributing to international peace and stability.

For his part, Major General Al-Raisi lauded the Kingdom’s initiatives, which have helped in developing crime-fighting tools and boosting regional and international security.

The visit included discussions on deepening partnership, coordination, and the exchange of expertise between the Saudi Ministry of Interior and Interpol, particularly in the areas of combating transnational crime and addressing emerging security challenges. They also explored joint initiatives in training and capacity development.

Prince Abdulaziz received a briefing on Interpol’s key programs and initiatives and toured the Security Operations Center, where he praised the advanced technical and human capabilities on display.

The visit was attended by Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham Al-Faleh, Saudi Ambassador to France Fahd Al-Ruwaili, and several other senior Saudi security officials.
