Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday on an official visit at the invitation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz. 

He was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Yasir Othman Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund, who is also the accompanying Minister; Saudi Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Harbi; and China’s Ambassador to the Kingdom Chen Weiqing.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz has completed medical tests for a lung infection and is recovering well.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Saudi Royal Court announced, “The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has finished his medical examinations and is recovering.”

The King underwent these tests following a lung infection, as advised by royal clinics. On Sunday, October 6, the Royal Court reported that King Salman would have medical evaluations.

On October 8, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reassured the public about the King’s health and thanked everyone who inquired about him.

He prayed for a swift recovery during the Saudi Cabinet meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday.
