OIC, Arab Parliament Reject European Parliament's Resolution on Bahrain

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed its rejection of the European Parliament's decision on the human rights situation in Bahrain, saying it was based on inaccurate information that offends the Kingdom.

The OIC praised Bahrain's commitment to the principles of human rights and international standards, and the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens and residents on its territories.

It also renewed its support for and solidarity with Bahrain.

The Arab Parliament also expressed its total rejection of the European Parliament resolution on Bahrain, stressing that it has no connection with reality.

In a statement, the Arab Parliament affirmed its full support for Bahrain in all the measures it takes to respond to this prejudiced statement that serves the political goals of some external parties.

It also noted that Bahrain is fully committed to the principles of human rights and international standards.

Saudi Arabia Condemns Terrorist Attack in Jammu, Kashmir

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left dozens of people dead and injured.
In a statement, the ministry reiterated Saudi Arabia’s firm stance against all forms of violence, extremism, and the targeting of civilians, SPA reported.

The ministry also extended its condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of India.
